There isn’t one. It really is that simple.

The economy isn’t in a great place, and I understand why photographers charge what they do. From the outside, it can look like “just taking pictures,” but there’s so much more behind the scenes—hours spent editing, balancing color, whitening teeth, removing blemishes, and adding subtle flair when it serves the image.

I’ll never tell anyone what they should pay me. Depending on the project, I may charge a flexible hourly rate.​

Planned portraits aren’t my strength. Standing back with a zoom lens, observing and capturing genuine, unprompted moments, that is where my work shines.

So, pay me what you can. Keep what you love. It really is that simple.

I’ll also never charge a surfer. I love photography, and surfers love to surf. That exchange is mutual, and it doesn’t need a price tag.
